What’s a Kettlebell?
A Kettlebel looks kind of like a bowling ball with a handle.  They are made of steel or cast iron or sometimes aluminum.  On average they range in size and weight from 8kg up to 32kg. You can find them smaller, larger, and in pounds.  Competition bells are all the same size, including the handle diameter, but differ in weight. So if you move up from a 12kg bell to a 16kg bell, your technique or body mechanics don’t have to change.

How do you train with a Kettlebell?
You can use it to do Olympic style lifts (clean, jerk, snatch) and other things like a windmill, Turkish get up, or two hands anyhow.  You can use them when doing squats, lunges and presses.  You also use them to do swings, a basic of Kettlebell lifting.

Why would I train with Kettlebells?
For the huge gains in strength, endurance and flexibility. This is partly due to the offset center of gravity of the bell during a lift. And for fun.

Who should train with Kettlebells?
Anyone.  If you’re bored with your current workout routine, if you’re looking to maximize your strength and conditioning or if you’re trying to lose weight.

When should I train with Kettlebells?
Anytime, but 3 times a week will give you noticeable results quickly.
